The practice of AcroYoga combines the strength and artistry of acrobatics with the tradition and mindfulness of yoga. The practice is mostly performed in pairs and sometimes in samll groups of 3 or more. One partner, called the “base,” supports the bodyweight of the other partner, called the “flyer.” The partners work together to create poses that require trust, strength, balance, skill, and playfulness. But to really understand the practice of AcroYoga, it is best to experience it first hand. Please join Torna and Nancy as they share this amazing practice with the Urth Yoga community!
Beginners welcome. No prior AcroYoga experience necessary.
